Trail Cam Camp Day

For now, Trail Cam Camps are limited to the Colorado Front Range. 

Trail Cam Camps happen at your site. Obvious locations include camps and outdoor school classrooms. Anywhere we can find wildlife and get kids together.

We'll spend 30 minutes or so with a presentation. Then we'll spend anywhere from an hour to four hours finding a great wildlife spot and placing the camera. 

Designate a contact, get the details done - people, time, place, etc. Google Earth is a great planning tool. 

A reconnaissance hike, especially with someone who knows the area, adds another level. 

A thirty minute interactive presentation about trail cams and how to find the right places to put them. The kids will provide most of the information.

Everyone likes to be out in the woods. This is the focus of the day. We'll hike and find a great trail cam spot. There are lots of factors in placing a trail cam, and there is no better way to learn about wildlife than trying to find the spot.. 

There are a lot of activities that can be follow trail cam day. Maintaining the cameras (batteries, collecting cards, occasionally relocating the camera). Video editing. Tracking. Creating or finding better wildlife locations. 

Many, many hours of experience in locating, filming and editing wildlife videos.

A free, high quality trail cam, a security lockbox, a locking cable, and a few sets of batteries.

A contact, and a meeting place. 

Hopefully,  a location to place the trail cam.

A trail cam manager who will be responsible for changing batteries, collecting video, and maintaining. the camera.

One easy way to find a great place for a trail cam is to build it.
